HOUSING, MEALS, & TRAVEL

Our
move to the Texas A&M University-Commerce campus has provided
amenities
which include dormitory housing, a cafeteria with multiple meals
stations, and evening recreational activities. |

camp. |

HOUSING |
The
TAMU-Commerce dorms will be used for housing all BLAST OF BRASS
housing students.

parents needing a hotel to stay, one night or the whole week,

Dorm Parents
Dorm Parents are
qualified music educators that will be on site 24 hours a day and
available to assist students at all times. In addition, they will
be staying over night in the dormitories to supervise students
after hours.
Camp
Counselors
Camp Counselors are
current undergraduate music students at TAMU-Commerce. Counselors
are in charge of making sure that students arrive safely to their
designated camp activities in addition to supervising students
during meals and extra curricular activities.
Medical Care
Medical care will be available on a 24-hour basis for all
students residing in the dormitory and available to all students
while on campus. In cases when a camper is referred by the
Student Health Center to outside medical facilities (medical
laboratories, x-ray facilities, etc.), the medical expense will be
charged to the parent or guardian. Please bring family
insurance information with you in the unlikely event of an
emergency. |

TO BRING TO CAMP

etc)

CLOTHES
1. Daily attire is casual clothes
2. Performance attire is ALL
BLACK.
Men: Black long sleeve
shirt (no collar required). Black belt, socks, and shoes.
Ladies: Black long or mid
length dress or Pant suit with black accessories.
NO tux, formal wear,
ties, tennis shoes, or flip-flops.
3. Recreation and free time: swim suits, beach
towel, sportswear, etc.
DORM
SUPPLIES
Twin sheets, blanket, pillow with case.
Bath towels, wash cloth, soap, and other needed
toiletries.
For your comfort, you may wish to bring a small
fan.
MISCELLANEOUS
Snacks
Medical supplies, if needed. ***Required to
report items at check-in.
Money, most activities will be provided as part
of the camp. It is recommended that
you do not bring excessive amounts of cash with
you. Bring only what is needed for
drinks, snacks, video games, etc. |

MEALS
for Housing Students |
Breakfast,
Lunch, and Dinner will be provided through the TAMUC cafeteria.
We will provide 3 meals a day, Monday - Friday.
Sunday evening, July 8th, we will have a cook out.
Saturday morning, July 14th will will have a continental
breakfast.
COMMUTER STUDENTS
Lunch
may be purchased in the cafeteria or
bring their lunch to the camp daily. |

Housing Students
driving to the camp WILL NOT be allowed to use their vehicles
during the camp.

FLIGHT
INFORMATION |
A
shuttle will be available, for a fee of $25.00, but we must have all
travel plans well in advance. If you will be flying in for the
conference and need a shuttle, please provide the following
information:
1. ARRIVAL
AIRPORT (Lovefield or DFW)
2. AIRLINE (i.e. Southwest, American Airline)
3. FLIGHT NUMBERS FOR BOTH ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
4. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES
5. TERMINAL and GATE NUMBERS, if possible.
Once
we have everyone's flight information, we will assist in the
schedule for pick-ups and drop-offs. |
